Inspired by the story of the Town Musicians of Bremen, who have been working all their life and are now old and weak, the animals tell their own story in a grotesque and burlesque way. Ilka Schönbein connects with her characters and reports on the tragedy of life until death, which is inevitable and belongs to it. Live music underlines and intensifies the emotions of the characters in its own special way.
